The three key principles of our IMM approach are: Intentionality, Impact is central to our strategy and portfolio construction. Value Creation, Impact is a value creation tool that helps entrepreneurs deliver superior results. Measurement, Impact is measured holistically and in coordination with stakeholders.

Impact highlights from our global private equity portfolio include 49m lives touched, 23m tCOâ‚‚e potential GHG emissions avoided, 12m MSMEs supported, 5.9m patients provided access to affordable healthcare, 9.1m households and businesses supplied with energy, and $7.2b loans disbursed to MSMEs, as per the Lightrock Impact & Sustainability Report 2024.

Inaugural OPIM signatory

Lightrock is an inaugural signatory of the Operating Principles for Impact Management (OPIM), a global standard and best practices framework for integrating impact throughout the investment life cycle. Lightrock also aligns with the 9 Impact Principles as an inaugural signatory of OPIM.

ESG data collection support

As our portfolio continued to grow, we recognised an opportunity to enhance our ESG and impact metrics collection. Initially, we utilized a spreadsheet-based approach for data collection. With our expanding portfolio, we realized the need for a more streamlined method. Novata is supporting us on this journey, providing a user-friendly platform for the GP and portfolio companies to navigate data requests.
