Switched to recycled leather

Since 2020, Maison Hēroïne has only used PETA-approved vegan leather and remnants from leather productions. All leftovers that would otherwise go to waste are first recycled as premium leather in an innovative process in Germany and then processed in our new production facility in Portugal.

Uses recycled PET materials

We use both leftover pieces from leather production and vegan materials such as recycled PET bottles.

Reduced CO2 and water use

Due to the high proportion of recycled materials in our products, the CO2 consumption per bag is around 60% lower than for conventional comparable items. In terms of water consumption, we are even about 80% lower than comparable products.

Launched recycled leather collection

We are excited to announce our new partnership with FRGB, a brand that produces recycled leather products. We will launch the collaboration in the first quarter of 2020. Together, we have created a collection of handbags which are made from certified 100% recycled leather.

Free repair service

We already have a free repair service for all our bags so that a defect in the bag does not immediately render it unusable.
