Supports local factory in Egypt

Since our very first launch, we have remained dedicated to supporting the same local owned factory in Egypt in order to help sustain the lives of the artisans and provide them with job opportunities.

Sources materials first

We believe in highlighting the story of the fabric and its quality, which is why we source our materials first before deciding on what collections to design. By focusing on slow stitching and releasing our collections during the season, we are never ahead or before – just in between.

Expanded in 2020

In 2020, our brand expanded with the addition of timeless designs across womenswear, menswear and providing limited collaborations with other changemakers from all around the world, is what makes Maya Eco unique and different.

Uses recycled denim and cotton

A new material, soon-to-be your new favorite, has joined our collection of materials. What made us choose this material is the fact that it is made from a combination of both recycled denim and organic cotton.

Joined SEAQUAL initiative

Grupo Maya has joined the SEAQUAL initiative, a collaborative community for helping to clean our oceans of the marine plastic waste that directly impacts marine biodiversity.

Recovered sea plastic

This is how the EVERSEA® collection was born, our most respectful line with the marine world and through which we recovered 7 tons of plastic material from the sea last year, used in the manufacture of our products.

Calculated carbon footprint

Aware of the environmental problems related to climate change, we decided to seek new targets to reduce the environmental impact of our production processes as much as possible, which is why we carried out the following actions: Calculation of the organisation’s carbon footprint.

Installed solar panels

In its transition towards clean energy, our company has installed photovoltaic solar energy panels on the roof of the building, which are connected to software that reflects daily indicators of energy consumption and environmental benefits.
