MG’s Environmental Justice work is led by a highly experienced team of environmental and social justice professionals. Our experts helped to define the field of environmental justice, built visionary community-based organizations, and have led philanthropic and public policy efforts.

Centering community-driven work

We work with clients to help broaden their knowledge of the interplay between systemic racial inequities that are embedded in the notions of conservation and environmentalism. We then work together to unpack and undo those systems to center racial, economic, and social justice; equal protection; and equity in environmental spaces.

Clean energy and conservation

Together with our clients, we are helping the world transform to a clean energy future; working to put conservation at the center of sustainable development; advocating for the removal of toxic chemicals from the places people live, work, and play; transforming agriculture to regional food economies; enhancing global resilience to climate-related disasters, food and water insecurity, and air pollution; and preparing better-resourced countries and regions to welcome the migration of climate refugees.
