Mind Body Co-op Sustainability Actions

B Corp certification

In April 2023, Mind Body Co-op joined a growing global movement of businesses committed to using profits and purpose to drive positive social and environmental impact. It says it is the first outpatient mental health group practice in the United States to earn Certified B Corporation® status.

Inclusive care model

The practice says it uses an integrative care model that blends behavioral, physical, and complementary medicine to provide holistic care. It offers culturally competent services in English, Mandarin, Spanish, Polish, and Arabic, and recruits and hires clinicians and staff of varying backgrounds, beliefs, and specialties.

Family-friendly policies

Mind Body Co-op says it has worked hard to create policies that promote work-life balance and are family-friendly. These include maternity leave without losing long-term clients, vision, dental, and health benefits, PTO and sick time, and schedules that clinicians can set themselves as long as they meet full-time hours.

Training and outreach

The practice says it values the importance of education and training the next generation of healthcare providers. It practices an integrative mental and physical health model through graduate training, workshops, community outreach, in-house training, and Continuing Education Units (CEU) opportunities.

Community and safe environment

Its core values include strong, healthy, and meaningful relationships with clients, a safe environment, and fostering community among staff, neighborhood, and city. It also says it provides diverse opportunities for group and individual healing and models healthy relationships among staff and community.
