Shared surplus food locally

Olio connects neighbours with each other and with local businesses so surplus food can be shared, not thrown away. This could be food nearing its use-by date in local stores, spare home-grown vegetables, bread from your baker, or the groceries in your fridge when you go away.

Shared household items

For your convenience, OLIO can also be used for non-food household items, too. Anyone can use Olio to give away free household items – from furniture and clothes to books, toys and toiletries.

Food Waste Heroes programme

Together with our network of 100k+ trained volunteers, we’ve rescued over 125 million meals from 8k+ locations, and shared over 15 million household items. Our Food Waste Heroes Programme enables food businesses and retailers to redistribute their surplus food to the local community.

OLIO was recently awarded a B Corp certification for maintaining a high standard of social and environmental performance.
