GB-wide release of REACT

After a successful two-year innovation project with SSEN Transmission and other network operators in the North of Scotland, Olsights and MapStand announced the GB-wide release of REACT – the Rapid Evaluation Areal Connection Tool. REACT is a digital planning tool that combines spatial analysis with development and connection intelligence to give energy developers and network operators rapid clarity on project viability and connection constraints.

Tool for grid connection analysis

With REACT, users can understand cumulative capacity, constraints, congestion, and competition; explore connectivity between generation and storage projects and substations plus connection sequence; visualise demand and generation hotspots across Great Britain broken down into network and planning zones; and reveal area risks and opportunities to streamline the connection journey and improve project viability assessments.
