Prepare for California reporting

OpenAI is working toward California’s climate disclosure deadline in 2026. A Fortune report said the company is coordinating with its data center partners so it can report Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, which are the direct emissions from operations and the emissions from purchased energy. This is a future compliance step, not a published emissions result.
