Merged with Arcadia division

In 2025, Perch merged with Arcadia’s community solar division to create the largest community solar management platform in the United States. The new venture said it would manage over 3 GW of solar capacity across 1,000 solar projects in 16 states.

Expanded access to clean energy

Perch says it helps renters and homeowners find a better deal on their electricity supplier than their basic utility plan, and can upgrade customers to 100% green energy, automatically and affordably. For business customers, it offers community solar to help generate clean energy and meet sustainability goals.

Promoted environmental justice

Perch says it promotes environmental justice in its communities and is passionate about building clean energy equity across its communities, bringing access to low-income families who struggle with fossil fuel pollution and a lack of affordable options. It says it actively partners with corporations, non-profits, state policy-makers and local leaders on projects that provide low-income families with renewable solutions.

Released community solar guidance

On December 2, 2020, the EIC ESG Working Group, in collaboration with GPA Midstream, released the first-ever Midstream ESG Reporting Template. The source content also states that Perch provides customer acquisition, onboarding, lifecycle management, billing, regulatory and policy expertise for community solar program rules.
