Developed industry standards

The RJC team oversees the development, maintenance, and implementation of three industry standards. Members follow one or more of three standards: the Code of Practices (COP), Chain of Custody (COC), and Laboratory Grown Material Standard (LGMS).

Issued certification audits

Once members complete the required certification audit, certificates are issued that affirm their commitment to responsible business practices.

Entered into a partnership with the United Nations Global Compact on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Launched human rights tools

Launch of Human Rights Due Diligence Toolkit. This year we have committed additional capacity to focus on human rights due diligence and support our members with business tools to accelerate advancements in this area.

Expanded supply chain focus

The COP now aligns with OECD Due Diligence Guidance and the UN Guiding principles on Business and Human Rights, and includes requirements on the detection of lab-grown diamonds.
