Certified organic sourcing

All Rockin' Cat Coffees & Teas are Certified USDA Organic. All of them. Our Organic products never contain GMO’s, are produced without harmful chemicals, reduce water consumption, protect the health and safety of farm workers, preserve & protect the natural environment, and demonstrate the excellent values of our company.

Fairtrade certified coffees

We are Fairtrade Certified: a global movement changing the way trade works through better prices, decent working conditions, and a fairer deal for farmers and workers in developing countries. Our Fairtrade Coffees contribute to the livelihood of small-scale producers, improve sustainability, fight gender inequality, and fight back against the use of child labor. All of the Coffees that we roast and sell are FairTrade Certified.

Compostable packaging

All of our Coffees & Teas are packaged in compostable packaging that meet the ASTM D6400, EN13432, and TUV standards. That means that our packaging is safe and sustainable and isn’t made from petrochemicals. Even the zippers, valves, and labels are compostable. This is one of the many examples of our comprehensive commitment to sustainability and the elimination of plastics from our Coffee & Tea Packaging (and the environment).

Carbon neutral operations

We measure & off-set all of the business' impacts with Gold Standard Off-Sets (we're carbon neutral); we power our entire facility with wind-generated electricity from Green Mountain Energy (no electricity from oil, fracking, or nuclear power — no ‘transitional’ nonsense); and, we work diligently toward being as plastic-free and as zero-waste as we can be (composting, reusing, recycling, and only sending things to a landfill as a last resort).

Plastic waste reduction

We are committed to reducing plastic waste and the devastating effect it is having on the natural environment. All of our Coffee and Tea packaging is 100% compostable, including the zippers, valves, and labels. The processing equipment that we use for coffee roasting and tea packaging is all NSF Certified stainless steel — we don’t use any plastic processing equipment. Our shipping and fulfillment products are reusable, biodegradable, compostable, and, as a last resort, recyclable, including the tape.
