Roopa Pemmaraju Sustainability Actions

Limited production garments

Every garment is produced in limited quantities or made to order, helping reduce excess waste and overproduction while preserving traditional craftsmanship.

Uses natural and recycled materials

We thoughtfully create each piece using natural fibers, recycled materials, and low-impact techniques including hand weaving, hand knitting, hand block printing, and digital printing.

Collaborates with Refugee Atelier

We are proud to collaborate with Refugee Atelier, a New York–based nonprofit social enterprise that empowers refugee and immigrant women rebuilding their lives in the United States through sewing, artisan training, mentorship, and sustainable employment opportunities.

Supports artisan craftsmanship

At RP New York, artisans are at the heart of everything we create. We celebrate craftsmanship through heirloom-quality garments designed to endure beyond seasons, while preserving India’s rich textile heritage and supporting the communities behind it.

Uses natural dyeing techniques

Roopa Pemmaraju garments are produced using natural dying techniques; this process can result in slight print variations. These imperfections are a part of the garment’s design and are not faults.
