Biopolymer retail lighting

By manufacturing our own range of biopolymer retail lighting, we can make more sustainable decisions related to product design, the raw materials we use, their packaging and how our products are distributed.

Circu-light circular scheme

Circu-light is our four-step circular scheme designed to tackle waste in retail lighting. By incentivising the return of products at end of life, we keep materials in use for longer, reducing landfill and cutting reliance on new lighting made from virgin aluminium.

Repair, reuse and recycle

Our products and services extend the life span of our products, and we’ve made repairing, upgrading, reusing and recycling them easy through Circu-light.

Responsible supply chain

We prioritise a responsible supply chain by ensuring our purchasing decisions for Shoplight are influenced by the credentials of the organisations we buy from. We also prefer to buy locally and work with B Corps and organisations that consider their impact on people and the planet.

Train overdrive where possible

We choose to train overdrive wherever possible, tracking our impact with the Trainline’s Carbon Calculator. Most of our company vehicles are electric. As van ranges improve, we can consider electric vans for replacements.

UK-made circular luminaires

Over the past four years, we’ve been on a mission to redefine what sustainable retail lighting can look like in the UK. What started with the launch of NORT, our first 3D-printed biopolymer spotlight, has grown into a much larger transformation across Shoplight.

Buy-Back Scheme

Through our Buy-Back Scheme, we recover end-of-life fittings, strip them back to the body, shred the material into coconut-flake granules, and feed it into our extruder to create new filament, ready to be 3D-printed into the next generation of products.
