Calculated carbon footprint

Frilvam has reached an important milestone in its activity in the field of environmental sustainability. It has in fact completed the calculation of its carbon footprint, focusing on Scope 1 and Scope 2, which represent direct and indirect emissions related to the use of fuels and gases, as well as energy consumption.

Joined ESG rating platforms

LATI joined the EcoVadis rating platform in 2015 and, in 2022, became a participant in CDP Climate Change. In 2024 it achieved EcoVadis Platinum, CDP Water B rating, and Great Place to Work® confirmation.

Adopted renewable energy sourcing

In 2021, LATI reported 100% renewable energy sourcing.

Published sustainability reports

In 2020, LATI published its first Sustainability Report. The company states that it is committed to ensuring transparency and sharing with stakeholders the results achieved in the environmental, social and economic areas.

Created sustainability plan

SIT’s Sustainability Governance team drafted a Sustainability Plan by pooling the ESG efforts and projects of the individual Company divisions and defining the key objectives for the implementation phase and the KPIs for measuring performance. The plan was approved by the Company’s Board of Directors and covers the same time period as the Strategic Plan, 2021-2025.

Set zero deforestation policies

Sofidel maintains a strict commitment to forest protection, with ‘Zero Deforestation’ policies and the exclusive sourcing of FSC® and PEFC certified pulp.

Invested in low-carbon solutions

In the environmental field, Sofidel aims to reduce CO₂ emissions along the entire value chain by investing in innovative solutions such as bio-syngas and green hydrogen, as well as long-term contracts for the purchase of renewable energy (PPA).
