Planned shift to better materials

A press article says Splash planned to make 80% of its products with sustainable and ethically sourced materials. It also said the brand was already using recycled polyester made from plastic bottles, plus fabrics such as Tencel, organic cotton, and viscose from Lenzing. The article links this to lower plastic use and a smaller carbon footprint, but it does not show independent proof of how much of the range had already changed.

Ocean awareness campaign

Splash launched a campaign called The Aquarium of Truth to draw attention to ocean pollution and the harm caused by single-use plastic. The campaign used a large fish tank filled with plastic waste to show what can end up in the sea. This was presented as a way to push both shoppers and fashion retailers to think more about plastic use and environmental damage.
