British Museum decarbonisation

Current projects include the ongoing decarbonisation of the British Museum – an ambitious project to reduce carbon emissions and improve sustainability across the museum’s operations.

UTS Vicki Sara Building

This year marks the 10-year anniversary of the opening of the University of Technology Sydney’s Vicki Sara Building; a project that showcases Steensen Varming’s long standing commitment to sustainable design. Part of the decade-long UTS campus Master Plan, this project incorporated several sustainable design features to help the University on their journey to Net Zero.

Acknowledgement of Country sculpture

At Steensen Varming, we had the pleasure of bringing light to a project that bridges Culture and Country at the New South Wales Parliament House. Collaborating with the Parliament of NSW, Dharawal and Yuin artist Alison Page, Culture and Heritage Consultant and Dharawal/Gumbaynggirr woman Rowena Welsh-Jarrett, ceramicist Simon Reece, Tilt Industrial Design, Entrenched Landscape and Design, and Star Electrical, we crafted the lighting design for the newly unveiled Acknowledgement of Country sculpture.
