Portuguese startup Studioneves developed Bioplates – a high-performance replacement for toxic melamine and nonbiodegradable porcelain crockery. The resulting product is a durable, carbon-negative bioplastic plate that is 100% biodegradable – even in marine environments – eliminating microplastics while reducing breakage and waste.
