Measured and reported emissions

We partner with a specialist firm Alectro.io to collect and analyse data across our operations and supply chain. This helps us accurately measure our carbon footprint, supported by a company-wide energy policy to minimize emissions. We are among the few in our industry to measure and publicly report our emissions on a per-employee basis, providing a clear picture of our environmental impact.

Purchased carbon credits

After reducing our emissions through efficiency and behavioural changes, we purchase carbon credits to neutralize our remaining footprint which made us carbon neutral in 2024. Our employees have a say in selecting the carbon offsetting projects we support. These are Gold Standard verified projects which advance the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Signed the PRI

Synergy Capital became the first alternative investment fund in the Middle East to sign the UN-sponsored Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) in February 2021. Since then, we have worked closely with our portfolio companies to measure ESG impact, map progress against the 21 UN Sustainable Development Goals, and encourage adoption of ISSB standards.
