The Sting Sustainability Actions

Launched Sting Core

Sting has officially launched Sting Core, its new flagship program for early-stage startups. The program replaces the former Sting Incubate and Sting Accelerate, bringing them together into one comprehensive six-month offering that combines the best of both worlds, deep operational support and fast-paced growth acceleration.

Expanded with climate startups

This spring, Sting is rolling out the red carpet for eight startups ready to redefine areas such as music tech, green energy, and the way we learn. Each startup brings a unique solution to the table, showcasing Sting's knack for selecting ventures that not only push technological boundaries but also promise significant societal impact.

Forged ClimateTech collaboration

Sting and RISE have united to fortify the startup ecosystem. Against heightened urgency, underscored by reports released during COP28, the collaboration aims to provide unprecedented support to ClimateTech companies, propelling them toward success.

Backed Turbine Capital

Sting-initiated Turbine Capital, the early-stage DeepTech venture fund initiated by Sting, has taken a major step forward. The European Investment Fund (EIF) is committing SEK 170 million to the fund, and Scania is joining as a new industrial investor.

Supported sustainable protein

Seaqure labs, a Gothenburg-based bio- and foodtech company, has closed a pre-seed round of more than SEK 5 million to accelerate the development of its sustainable, circular protein ingredients.

Supported climate startup funding

Re:meat has successfully oversubscribed its funding round, raising €1 million from tech investors, family offices, and business angels dedicated to improving resilience and helping save our planet by redefining how meat ends up on our plates.
