Tidy Up Sustainability Actions

Recycling depot operations

This data represents the volume of material we have diverted from landfill via our recycling depot, where everything from light gauge scrap metal to styrofoam is batched before it is transported to various processing plants for recycling.

Material diverted from landfill

2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 financial year figures are listed for Cubic Metres and Tonnes Saved under Recycling.

Material disposed to landfill

This is not a good number. We intensely dislike this number! It doesn’t make us feel very happy at all. It represents the amount of material we couldn’t recycle, upcycle or donate, like couches and MDF furniture. Team Tidy is actively working every single day to bring this number down to one that we can all feel happier about.

Charity and salvage donations

All functional medical equipment we collect is donated to Australian Doctors for Africa, Rafiki Surgical Missions, or to individuals in need in our local community. We donate usable playground equipment and other serviceable materials to schools, for use in ‘loose parts play’ activities for children.

Scrap metal donations

Scrap Metal: 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 financial year figures are listed for Donated to St. Vincent De Paul.

The Push Up Challenge

Every year in June, Tidy Up participates in ‘The Push Up Challenge’, a national charity event. During a 25-day period, EACH team member completes over 3,000 push-ups to raise funds for local mental health organisations such as Lifeline WA and Headspace.
