Tropicfeel Sustainability Actions

Certified B Corp

We are a Certified B Corp. At Tropicfeel we strive to minimize and positivize our footprint, we are constantly working to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle & Regenerate, with transparency and consciousness at the core of our impact. This is why we decided, to join the B-Corp community to help us with our mission to continuously improve our internal processes, verifications and overall impact. Date of certification: 26/07/2023

Supply chain traceability

Our traceability system is designed to provide comprehensive oversight and continuous improvement throughout all points of the chain: yarn, fabric and final product. We conduct rigorous internal and external validation of our suppliers. This includes verifying certifications and collecting evidence through social, labor & environmental assessments to ensure compliance and foster continuous improvement. Using the retraced platform, we centralize supplier information, conduct thorough assessments, and develop improvement plans to ensure ongoing adherence to our standards.

Binding supplier agreements

Our suppliers sign a code of conduct and partnership agreements that include binding clauses on social and environmental issues, ensuring contractual commitment to our values. We update them yearly to make sure we can update new laws and regulations.

Low impact materials

Selecting the right materials is a crucial step to minimize our environmental footprint. On average, materials contribute to 40-60% of the total impact of a product lifecycle. By carefully choosing low impact and ethically sourced materials, we can significantly reduce our overall impact. At Tropicfeel, our material selection process goes beyond simply choosing recycled materials. While we prioritize low impact, we also consider durability and product performance. To guide our choices, we have developed an internal policy called “Low Impact Materials,” which includes a curated selection of organic, recycled, and other sustainable materials.
