Unity says its near-term climate targets were submitted for validation in 2025 and are scheduled for validation in 2026. If approved, these targets would give the company a science-based path for cutting emissions over the rest of the decade.

Unity says it plans to reduce absolute Scope 1 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030 from a 2023 base year. Scope 1 means direct emissions from sources the company controls, such as facilities or fuel use.

Unity says it plans to maintain zero absolute Scope 2 emissions from 2023 through 2030. Scope 2 means indirect emissions from purchased electricity, so this target depends on how the company buys and uses power.

Unity says it plans to reduce Scope 3 emissions by 51.6% per USD value added by 2030 from a 2023 base year. Scope 3 covers indirect emissions across the wider value chain, such as travel, suppliers, and purchased goods.
