Certified B Corp

After a certification process of more than 2 years, UPSTRÖM became part of the B Corp family in July 2023. The company says this supports its promise to be a sustainable, socially responsible and transparent business. It states that B Corps must document that they meet the highest social and environmental standards.

Set emissions baseline

In March 2021, UPSTRÖM made its Net Zero 2030 pledge and began planning the steps needed to reach net-zero emissions by 2025. The first step was to establish a baseline by carrying out detailed emissions calculations for 2020 and 2021 based on the GHG Protocol and life cycle analyses.

Expanded into Benelux

UPSTRÖM said it was expanding into the Benelux market together with Bol.com. It described Bol.com as a partner that cares about how products are made and how they are sold, and said both companies are certified B Corps.

Launched Cablebox

The Upström Cablebox gathers and hides everyday cables, keeping power strips, chargers and cords in one place. It is made from FSC 100% certified oak and plywood and lined with 100% recycled felt.

Collects ocean-bound bottles

For every product purchased, UPSTRÖM collects and recycles 15 ocean bound plastic bottles, helping to protect marine life and the ecosystem.
