Vincija Swim Sustainability Actions

Made-to-order production

One of the key ways we uphold sustainability is through our made-to-order production model. Unlike fast fashion brands that mass-produce their swimwear, leading to excess stock and unnecessary waste, we create each piece only when it’s ordered. This means every bikini is handmade from scratch, ensuring that we don’t overproduce or contribute to landfill waste.

Reduced fabric waste

We are also committed to reducing fabric waste by carefully cutting and sewing each piece to maximise efficiency. Instead of discarding excess materials, we turn them into hair scrunchies and make sure we use every bit possible to minimise our footprint.

Recycled lycra swimwear

Our swimwear is made from Italian recycled high-quality, durable lycra designed to last season after season, encouraging our customers to invest in pieces they’ll love and wear for years—rather than disposable fashion that quickly ends up in the landfill.

Local in-house production

Every bikini is hand-sewn right here in-house on the Gold Coast, rather than outsourced to overseas factories. This ensures that our production remains ethical and fair, while also reducing the carbon footprint associated with long-distance shipping.

Founded as a slow fashion brand

Vincija swim was founded in 2016 with a passion to challenge and redefine the traditional swimwear industry that has long dominated the market. Frustrated with the industry's status quo, and struggling to find minimal tanning bikinis I was naturally inspired to create my own swimwear and focus on creating made-to-order pieces that celebrate individuality and the perfect fit.
