Eczacıbaşı Building Products Tile Integrated Sustainability Report 2024 covers the full calendar year 2024. The 2023 and 2022 integrated sustainability reports also cover VitrA Tiles’ operations and include financial and non-financial data. The reports present the corporate sustainability strategy, practices and methodology, goals, and the progress made towards achieving them, and are prepared in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards’ core option.

From idea conception to product manufacture, sustainability-conscious designs focus on reducing environmental impact through a meticulous preference for recyclable materials, using less energy and careful waste management. VitrA Tiles says it is working to manage the planet’s limited resources responsibly by reducing its carbon footprint, enhancing efficiency, and minimising waste.

Introduced smart surface technologies

VitrA V-Agent reduces the effect of human coronaviruses and bacteria on floor and wall tiles by 99.99% through a special technique applied during production. VitrA Shield tiles are self-cleaning thanks to photocatalytic features activated by light and humidity in the air, and VitrA V-Safe provides slip-resistant, hygienic and easy-to-clean surfaces.

Issued certified product documents

The company provides Certified EPD documents that transparently show the environmental performance of its products by thoroughly analysing their entire life cycle. Its products do not contain volatile chemicals that could harm indoor air quality or health, and they are certified with Green Guard and Green Guard Gold.
