Renewable Energy Network Powering

Vodafone has transitioned all European networks to 100% renewable electricity, sourced through a combination of grid-supplied renewables, on-site solar installations, and wind turbines deployed in markets including the UK and Germany. The company's networks across its entire global footprint are progressively being powered by renewable sources such as wind and solar

One Million Phones for the Planet

In partnership with WWF, Vodafone launched its One Million Phones for the Planet campaign — collecting unused consumer devices for responsible reuse and recycling. For every phone collected, £1 is generated for WWF conservation projects globally. In the first year of the partnership alone, Vodafone collected over 200,000 devices. Buying a refurbished handset over a two-year period avoids approximately 50 kg of CO₂ emissions and requires 76.9 kg less raw material extraction compared to a new device

Sustainable Media Programme

Vodafone's Sustainable Media Programme reduced the carbon footprint of its global media and advertising activities by more than a third in a single year between Q3 FY23 and Q3 FY24, assessing climate impact across channels including digital, TV, cinema, print, and outdoor.
