Participated in JRC study

Weturn has participated in the JRC (Joint Research Centre) third phase of the study on textile ecodesign, conducted for the European Commission within the framework of the ESPR. This contribution focuses in particular on the critical practical conditions required to deploy a circular channel: recyclability constraints, the capacity to integrate recycled materials depending on end use, and the limitations of an approach focused only on certain stages of the lifecycle.

Built an industrial recycling channel

At Weturn, we shared concrete field experience: that of developing, over several years, an industrial-scale textile recycling channel in Europe. The company says that beyond intentions, circularity comes up against operational realities.

Improved recyclability conditions

Implement solutions to overcome recyclability constraints such as improved material traceability, reduction of disruptive components, and greater homogeneity of material streams.

Shared recycling process insights

Weturn launched “Inside the Recycling Channel,” a new video series to share the behind the scenes of textile recycling and explain, in a simple and concrete way, the solutions the company is building together with brands. In the first episode, the founder explains why Weturn was created in 2020 and how the belief in transforming textile waste into new materials and resources became the company’s mission.
