Za-Ziba studio Sustainability Actions

Uses slow fashion approach

My aim is to make ready to wear, slow fashion using natural and sustainable fabrics.

Designs classic shapes

It is important to me to build something of substance; a brand that offers classic shapes that won’t date in 3 months.

Works with Bali collective

I've been working with my Bali sewing collective for over 9 years and have visited the factory many, many times to observe safe and fair working conditions. Tailors are able to work at the factory or take work home to sew in their own time. I do not have strict delivery schedules meaning that the workers aren't forced to do overtime to meet deadlines.

Uses SMETA audited factory

The wonderful Chinese factory I have been working with for over 5 years is based in Shanghai and is a SMETA Audited factory - with a third party Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit certificate.

Donates meals with purchases

With each purchase, Zaziba Studio donates one meal to a school child in South Africa, via The Lunchbox Fund.

Creates artworks in-house

All artworks are created in-house by South African born artist and dress maker Verity Joy Wilson.
