We have pioneering underwear recycling in Australia, and will take back your old underwear - any brand, any fabric and for FREE! We sort, sanitise and send for shredding. They are then processed to have a second life as carpet underlay or insulation. Until we have the infrastructure for fibre-to-fibre recycling (some estimate that is up to 10 years away), repurposing waste and diverting from landfill is the best way to keep the value in your underwear for longer. Please email us at hello@underwearforhumanity.com.au or check your order receipt which has all the details.

How To Recycle Boys Trunk

  • Return to Collection Point

    How the recycling program works?

Our mail-in underwear recycling system is dedicated to our customers. We would love to take everyone's underwear regardless of purchasing from us, but it costs us approx 42c per pair to recycle and the sale of our underwear covers some of that cost. We are a social enterprise running on low margins and would really love your support to help make this happen.
  • Reuse

How do I send in my recycling?

Depending on how much recycling you have, you can re-use the compostable mail bag we send your order in and send it back to us. Otherwise you can send it in any box or mailbag. After we have sorted the recycling (some bras are still in great condition so they are donated to Support the Girls) we recycle the packaging you sent in.
  • General Recycle

Do I need to do anything to the bra or undies before I send them in?

All you have to do is wash them and post them to us - we will handle the rest for you. This forms part of the work training program with Social Engine, creating leaerning and work trianing opportunities for at risk youths. Your old undies and bras have power for so much good!
