Raw MaterialsThe material composition of EcoPebble concrete includes a number of recycled waste materials, as listed below: - 20% of the cement content (typically the highest contributor to CO2 emissions) is replaced with ground slag, a waste product from steel manufacturing; - 50% of virgin washed sand is replaced with manufactured quartz sand, a waste product from quarry processing; - A blended aggregate material comprising 7mm pebble and Polyrok lightweight plastic aggregate, a pelletized product made from 95% post-consumer soft plastic waste - Reclaimed rainwater for production activities, harvested onsite at the Anston manufacturing facility.
