Avallen Spirits BV positions Avallen Calvados as a climate positive spirit and says its ambition is to become one of the world’s most sustainable spirits brands, from blossom to bottle. The brand says it is built around environmental responsibility, with a focus on carbon emissions, water use, packaging, bee conservation and biodiversity. It has published annual sustainability reporting, become B Corp-certified, and worked with partners such as Ecospirits and Frugalpac on lower-impact packaging formats. In 2024, the founders also launched Avallen Solutions, a consultancy aimed at helping drinks and hospitality businesses implement sustainability practices.
