Forage Design presents itself as a business built on ethical principles and says it works to minimise its impact. Its sustainability-related activity includes using deadstock fabrics, producing in small batches, and re-listing imperfect items rather than discarding them. The brand also donates £1 from every product sold to selected charities, with donations directed to environmental protection and aid logistics. Its content refers to corporate sustainability training and an intention to keep reducing its carbon footprint and increasing positive impact on people and the world around it.

Forage Design Sustainability Actions

Donates from every purchase

As of 12th February 2020, we have pledged to donate £1 of every product sold on our website to either the World Land Trust, or Goods for Good. Our donation will be ring-fenced to go to specific campaigns, and the best part is, you can choose which charity we donate to with every purchase you make with us!

Uses deadstock fabrics

Our products are made in small batches of 20 or 30 pieces and most of our pieces are made from deadstock fabrics. These include the leftover rolls and ends of lines from large production companies or rejected materials that may have small blemishes or cosmetic irregularities.

Relists imperfect items

I went ahead and created a new section to my shop: Seconds and Imperfect Pieces. In this section of the shop, I have re-listed all of our sequinned pocket belts at half price, with a full disclaimer, and I'm pleased to say they are flying out!
