Joined regenerative wool programme

SMCP is proud to announce the signing of a long-term partnership with Chargeurs Luxury Fibers as part of a regenerative agriculture program conducted in Uruguay. Through this project, SMCP will support the transition of several farms toward regenerative sheep farming practices, promoting soil restoration, biodiversity preservation, support for local communities, and respect for animal welfare. The wool sourced from these farms will be used by the Group’s brands to create traceable pieces, under the NATIVA™ Regen label.

Used certified or recycled wool

In 2024, 59% of the wool used by the Group was either certified under the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) or recycled.

Created sustainability committee

Since 2023, a Sustainability Committee was created within the Board of Directors to strengthen the consideration of societal and environmental issues in the Group’s governance.

Joined UN Global Compact

Since 2020, the Group joined the United Nations Global Compact. The United Nations Global Compact offers a framework of voluntary commitment based on a set of ten principles related to human rights, labor law, environmental protection, and the fight against corruption.
