Green Island Cement launched an innovative upcycling project in partnership with two Hong Kong hotels, Eaton HK and The Langham, transforming oyster shells into a sustainable cement alternative. The project collected 8 tonnes of oyster shells, which contain a key mineral for making cement.

Waste Material Repurposing

GIC aims to minimize the use of resources by upcycling local waste materials, transforming them into valuable components for cement.
