Oyster Shell Upcycling Project

Green Island Cement launched an innovative upcycling project in partnership with two Hong Kong hotels, Eaton HK and The Langham, transforming oyster shells into a sustainable cement alternative. The project collected 8 tonnes of oyster shells, which contain a key mineral for making cement.

Waste Material Repurposing

GIC aims to minimize the use of resources by upcycling local waste materials, transforming them into valuable components for cement.

Sustainability Reporting

GIC has published multiple sustainability reports prepared in accordance with Global Reporting Initiative standards, covering fiscal periods from 2015-2016, 2017-2018, and 2021-2022.
