Launched coconut supply project

In 2025, we launched a partnership with Tradin Organics to advance sustainability within the global coconut sugar supply chain. Together, we are launching a program that supports smallholder farmers in Indonesia through the cultivation of Kelapa Genjah Entog, a dwarf coconut variety that produces higher yields, improves safety, and ensures a more sustainable future for coconut farming communities.

Measured carbon footprint

Since 2024, Purely Elizabeth has been proudly working with Planet FWD, the leading decarbonization platform for food and beverage companies, to measure our carbon footprint. We’ve gathered and used the following to identify opportunities to reduce our emissions across ingredients, packaging, and transportation. Scope 1,2, 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory for 2023 and 2024. Life cycle assessments on all product categories: oatmeal, cereal, and granolas.

Since 2015, Purely Elizabeth has been a certified B Corp. We’ve embraced the B Corp standards to guide our ongoing efforts in sustainability, community and supplier impact, and more. As the certification standards continue to evolve, we remain dedicated to aligning with the most pressing issues facing businesses today, ensuring our practices stay relevant and impactful for the future.

Supported farmer training

Rodale Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to growing the regenerative organic agriculture movement through rigorous research, farmer training and education. Through our donation, we are able to sponsor two students to complete their Farmer Training Program where they are able to confront one of the world’s greatest challenges: creating a resilient global food system that improves human health and the environment.

Supported smallholder farmers

As part of the Whole Foods Foundation, Whole Planet is dedicated to supporting and uplifting smallholder farms with tools and training, economic opportunities, food security, and clean energy and water. As a part of their Building A Sustainable Future initiative, Purely Elizabeth will be able to directly support providing microcredit lending to smallholder farmers who live abroad by donating a portion of our granola and cereal sales to this fund.

Sponsored local food access

Growing Gardens is leading local efforts to educate and provide the Boulder and Longmont communities with organic farming practices and produce, including distributing thousands of pounds of produce, as well as plant starts and seeds, to low-income community members to impart greater food security and hunger relief in the community. Our team has been fortunate enough to volunteer with them in the past, but we have elevated our support of this local grassroots organization by becoming a proud sponsor of the work they do for our local community.
