TASAKI has set out a sustainability roadmap to 2030 built around four themes: offering quality products and services, providing workplaces where diverse people can grow, pursuing environment-friendly business activities, and practicing transparent corporate management. The company says it established a Sustainability Committee in May 2022 to strengthen group-wide efforts and track progress. Its stated priorities include conflict-free procurement of key materials, diversity and inclusion, climate change response, proper chemical management, recycling-based practices, compliance, and transparent governance. TASAKI also links its pearl farming operations to conservation of marine environments and says it aims to achieve carbon neutrality in its business activities by 2030.

TASAKI Sustainability Actions

Sustainability Committee established

In May 2022, we established a new Sustainability Committee to strengthen our efforts across the entire group. Going forward, we will regularly track our progress toward our goals and consider new initiatives to address issues on a group-wide basis, transcending divisional boundaries as we actively engage in efforts to achieve our goals in line with the roadmap.

Conflict-free procurement

We realize 100% conflict-free procurement of key materials, including pearls, diamonds and metals.

Chemical management practices

In compliance with global standards, TASAKI does not use cadmium at all in its manufacturing processes. We are pursuing initiatives to reduce as much as possible the use of metals that commonly cause allergic reactions (e.g., nickel). We use safer chemicals in our jewellery manufacturing processes.
