Full greenhouse gas baseline
Valiantys says it will complete a full greenhouse gas baseline in 2025. A baseline is the starting point used to measure future cuts. The company says this assessment will cover Scopes 1, 2, and 3, which means direct emissions, emissions from purchased energy, and emissions across the wider value chain.
2026
Near-term reduction targets
Valiantys says it will roll out near-term emissions reduction targets in 2026. These targets are meant to guide cuts across regions and sit inside a wider decarbonization plan, which is a plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions over time.
2027
Supplier engagement on Scope 3
Valiantys says it will work with suppliers in 2027 on Scope 3 hotspots, meaning the parts of its value chain with the biggest emissions. It also says it will include sustainability criteria in contracts, which means suppliers may need to meet certain environmental or social standards.
2030
Verified emissions reduction
Valiantys says it aims to deliver measured emissions reductions by 2030, compared with its baseline. It says the result will be independently verified and reported each year. Independent verification means a third party checks the numbers rather than the company doing it alone.
