Blue Jeans Go Green is Cotton Incorporated’s denim recycling program focused on closing the loop on textile waste. The program encourages consumers to recycle denim made from cotton and says well-loved pieces can be transformed into new products rather than sent to landfill. Since its launch in 2006, the program has diverted thousands of tons of denim from landfills and recycled millions of pieces. It also promotes cotton’s natural lifecycle and the reuse of denim for insulation, packaging liners, and other applications.
