Carhartt WIP states that its manufacturing operations are centred in Tunisia, where it has operated since 1993 and where it runs two factories and a logistical platform in Monastir. The company says it works with a global network of suppliers and manufacturers and relies on long-term relationships, regular on-site checks, and its Code of Conduct and Supplier Manual to support working conditions. It says all operations in Monastir are in the process of SA8000 certification, and that it pays a living wage, maintains normal working hours, and provides grievance mechanisms. The company also reports employee support measures including shuttle buses and on-site medical staff.
