From day one, Clémence Organics has committed to sustainability across every dimension of the business: certified organic ingredients, aluminium and recyclable packaging, carbon-neutral shipping, solar-powered manufacturing, and a TerraCycle send-back program for hard-to-recycle components. More than 1% of annual sales go directly to certified environmental charities through their 1% for the Planet membership.

In 2025 - 2026, Clémence Organics has been recognised on the international stage - winning seven awards at the 2026 Beauty Shortlist Awards and three Product Sustainability Awards in 2025, cementing their reputation as Australia's most awarded certified organic skincare brand.

We Use ACO Certified Organic Ingredients

We have ACO COSMOS Organic Certification. This means our products are formulated with certified organic ingredients wherever possible (ranging from approx 83-100% depending on the product type). This means less pesticides and herbicides are being used on our earth, and more sustainable growing practices. Australian Certified Organic is the first Asia-Pacific based certifier accredited under the COSMetics Organic and natural Standard (COSMOS) as an approved certifier for Organic and Natural cosmetics as well as cosmetics raw materials.

Carbon Neutral Shipping & 100% Recyclable Shipping Options

We ship carbon neutral and with 100% recyclable or compostable shipping options. We ensure that every parcel that heads your way is sent 100% carbon neutral and in packaging that is either 100% kerbside recyclable or compostable. We ship via Australia Post who are committed to carbon-neutral parcel delivery via their Climate Active certified Carbon Neutral Deliveries program.

1% for the Planet is an international organisation whose members contribute at least one percent of their annual revenue to environmental causes to protect the environment. More than 1% of our sales every year go towards certified environmental charities.

Recyclable Packaging

We package our products in easy to recycle materials and we take every effort to reduce plastic packaging. We choose aluminium as our primary packaging material, as it's the easiest material to recycle and light to transport (less carbon). It is argued that aluminium has fewer environmental impacts than glass, and it has a much better recycling rate than either glass or plastic. We also offer complimentary recycling for all non-kerbside recycling packaging e.g. pumps, atomisers, droppers in partnership with Terracycle.

Solar-Powered, Low-Impact Manufacturing Facility

Clémence Organics products are manufactured at a solar-powered facility, operating on tank water with a septic system - significantly reducing the environmental footprint of production. Founder Bridget Carmady runs the facility with a zero-waste mindset: soft plastics are taken to supermarket collection points, all materials are reused or composted wherever possible, and recycling is built into every operational decision. This behind-the-scenes commitment to low-impact manufacturing reflects the brand's belief that sustainability must be authentic across the whole business - not just on the label.

We take every effort to reduce plastic packaging. We are on a path to reducing our plastic packaging to as minimal as possible in the next two years, including introducing more compostable options.

Clémence Organics won three 2025 Product Sustainability Awards, including a second consecutive win for the Ultimate SOS Balm - recognised for its organic ingredients, aluminium packaging and TerraCycle send-back recycling system.

Clémence Organics won at the 2025 European Natural Beauty Awards in Paris, with the Repair Face Serum taking out the 'Natural Excellence' award - recognising outstanding achievement in natural and organic cosmetics on the international stage.
