Dockers is a brand within Levi Strauss & Co., and the sustainability content available for the brand is limited. Relevant material appears through Levi Strauss & Co.’s broader sustainability reporting and references to Dockers in product care and collection initiatives. These include care-tag guidance encouraging consumers to wash less, wash in cold, line dry, and donate when no longer needed, as well as references to Dockers WellThread. Levi Strauss & Co. also reports goals on preferred or certified more sustainable primary materials, cotton sourcing, and climate targets that apply across the company portfolio, which includes Dockers.

Dockers Sustainability Actions

Care Tag For Our Planet

As part of the Care Tag For Our Planet initiative, Levi’s and Dockers brands began including messaging on all product care tags encouraging consumers to “wash less, wash in cold, line dry, and donate when no longer needed.” The program also strives to educate consumers with water-saving cleaning tips.

Dockers WellThread collection

Levi’s Waste Less™ jeans, composed of a minimum 20% post consumer recycled content from an average of 8 plastic bottles, as well as Dockers’ WellThread collection both demonstrate how brands can turn sustainability considerations and challenges into opportunities for innovation, impact and proprietary storytelling.

Sustainable fiber sourcing

During FY21, 95% of our cotton was organic, recycled, or Better Cotton. 100% of all manmade cellulosic fibers were sourced from Canopy Green Shirt-rated suppliers, 100% of all down was sourced from Responsible Down Standard-certified suppliers, and more than 35% of all leather was sourced from Leather Working Group-rated suppliers.
