Rolex Sustainability Commitments

2030

Science-based emissions cuts

Rolex says it has set 2030 carbon reduction targets based on the Science Based Targets initiative, or SBTi, which checks whether company climate goals match climate science. It says it aims to cut Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 42% and Scope 3 emissions by 25% compared with 2021 levels. Scope 1 and 2 cover direct emissions from its own operations and purchased energy, while Scope 3 covers the wider supply chain.

2029

Aim for BREEAM Outstanding

Rolex says its future site in Bulle, planned for 2029, is aiming for BREEAM Outstanding. BREEAM is a building standard that rates how well a building performs on environmental issues like energy use, water, and materials. If achieved, this would place the site among the top-rated buildings in that system.
